He said Zambia needed leaders who preached peace, love and unity instead of promoting hatred.
“I am focused and my eyes are on the ball with the Zambian people, I will not answer back.
The Government would also ensure that there was a ready market for farmers’ crops.
Mr Banda was in Mazabuka at the invitation of Chief Mwanachingwala of the Tonga people.
Mr Munkombwe said people who wanted to challenge Mr Banda would not be barred from the convention.
The chief urged the Government to sink more boreholes in the more than 220 villages in his chiefdom.
President Banda said he was impressed with Chief Mwanachingwala’s selfless leadership.
He was speaking when he met with the business community at Chief Mwanachingwala’s palace.
