Some people dread losing weight because they think that they need to cut back on their usual meal and strain themselves from working out. However, this is not always the case. You can simply take african mango irvingia gabonensis. Some people think that this is just another version of the acai berry and it is just a scam but it is not. There were really studies that showed that this is very effective. If you are wondering what exactly is african mango irvingia gabonensis, read further.

African mango irvingia gabonensis is said to be a high fat nut. This is of course from Africa and from a mango tree in that region, West Africa and a wild mango tree to be exact. This said nut is not only high in fat but it is also high in fiber. About 14% of the nut is fiber-enriched and you all know what that means. If you don't, well, fiber is good for the body. It is good for digestion. Fiber can be found in other healthy foods such as wheat, oatmeal and some cereals.

What can african mango irvingia gabonensis do for you then? There are many benefits when you take this nut. But to make it easier for you to understand, there was a study conducted by scientist and health-experts regarding this nut. The Cameroon studies and research group gathered 40 obese persons to be able to make this study fruitful. They separated the 40 individuals into two groups. The first group was the placebo group and the other 20 individuals belonged to the african mango irvingia gabonensis group.

The research went on for about 30 days and in these 30 days, the individuals kept with them a journal that involves their food intake and the activities they had for the day. The group had 11.5 grams of african mango irvingia gabonensis. The Cameroon researches also kept track of their weight gain/loss, blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels.

The result was that the group of the african mango irvingia gabonensis lost about 11 pounds compared to the three pounds lost by the placebo group. Other things that improved with the irvingia gabonensis group would be their blood pressure, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and HDL.

Another study was made that had three groups the same placebo and irvingia gabonensis group but this time there was a third group called the Cissus quadrangularis group. Like the first results, the irvingia gabonensis should great results once again-even better actually. During the 10-week period of the study, the irvingia gabonensis group have lost an astounding 28 pounds over-all average.

Unfortunately, even with studies like these, some people still do not believe in the power of this wild african mango tree called the irvingia gabonensis. Some say that it is still a combination of diet, exercise and the irvingia gabonensis. Others are still skeptical in buying $42-$72 worth of these supplements when they say they can buy other high-in fiber foods like fruits and vegetables.
